The Catzilla Statue is a fun and iconic landmark I created for the Tokyo map in Nyan Heroes. Inspired by the famous Godzilla statue perched on top of a building in Tokyo, we gave it a playful twist by turning it into a cat wearing a Godzilla costume—aptly named Catzilla.
This statue was designed to be a standout visual piece on the map, blending humor and cultural reference while staying true to the game's unique personality. It serves as both a landmark for player orientation and a worldbuilding element that reinforces the playful tone of Nyan Heroes.
I focused on capturing the chunky silhouette and stylized detail to make it easily readable from a distance, while also including fun textures and character in the costume design to reward players who get a closer look.
