This Japanese Pagoda was a collaborative work between myself and my co-artist, Ronel Pormento, created for the Tokyo map in Nyan Heroes. The structure serves as the goal area for a unique gameplay mode called "Fishball"—a fast-paced, soccer-inspired mechanic where teams compete to carry a newly spawned fishball into the opposing team's goal.
We designed the pagoda to visually anchor the goal area, blending traditional Japanese architectural elements with the game’s signature sci-fi aesthetic. The structure was built with both form and function in mind—serving as a striking visual landmark while supporting gameplay clarity and player orientation.
I've also included work-in-progress screenshots that show some of the development stages and detailing process throughout the asset's creation
