Fatriya (Engkanto)

Engkantos are mythical environmental spirits that are said to have the ability to appear in human form. They are often associated with the spirits of ancestors in the Philippines. They are also characterized as spirit sorts like sirens, dark beings, elves, and more. Belief in their existence has likely existed for centuries and continues to this day.
This is my first character artwork of this year. I am not using hair cards because I still don't know the workflow on creating alpha hairs. But overall, I'm pretty happy with the outcome. I worked on it every day since the beginning of the pandemic and this is also the best time to do during the quarantine.
This was actually a collaboration with my friend, Marga. She provided the concept art and I just added elements such as the necklace, the glowing antlers, and the glowing eyes to make it more interesting.
